The Five P's of Selling
The Five P's of Selling: Person, Product, Pricing, Politics and Persistence
In order to do anything in this world you must:
1. Sell yourself as a Person.
If people don't trust you or believe in you then you are going no where.
2. Sell your Product.
You have to believe in what you are doing and what you are selling. If you don't it will come through in everything you do. Believe in it and be successful.
3. Sell your Pricing.
Price is value. You must be able to sell the value of what you are selling or doing to the people you are trying to sell or convince.
4. Deal with the Politics of the situation.
Politics are everywhere and if you don't watch out it will get you in the end.
5. Be Persistent.
It is not always the best solution or the best price that wins the deal, but the ones that stick with the deal. It is always easy to give up and move on. That being said... you also need to know when to cut your losses and move on. It is a delicate balance. Consult your friends, mentors and peers to see what makes sense.
